About Danny
I have tutored privately for over 25 years. My specialty is SAT, AP, and Regents Prep.
I have taught English just about all of my life. I am a passionate and knowledgeable teacher who has taught at every level. I reside in Hopewell Junction, NY, and I am presently an adjunct professor at WCSU in Danbury, Connecticut, where I have taught literature, writing, and language courses.
Whatever goals yours are, they are my goals. We reach those goals together by first creating a learning environment in which knowledge is delivered with skill, creativity, patience, empathy, understanding, and fun.
(In 1997, I was awarded Teacher of the Year in Westchester County, NY. In 2017, I retired from the Mount Vernon City School District after 33years.)
I love teaching. It is the noblest and most gratifying profession. I have helped to create the next generation of young professionals, including many teachers. What could be better than that!
I played priest, grocery man, and teacher when I was a boy. When it came down to it: what choice did I have, right?
35+ years teaching all levels of students and curricula--from high school to college. Also, 25 years of personal tutoring. I have a Master Degree in English from Lehman College and additional credits.

Get to know the student. Make him or her comfortable. Adjust weekly as I learn about the student and his or her learning style. Small steps towards achieving big goals.
All levels. All types. All needs. I taught in diverse school districts my entire career.
Improving your understanding of ELA and developing your writing skills are the two most important things you can do outside of your own field of study. I believe all college students should minor in English. Companies are looking for literate, well-rounded employees. (concealed information)

JusTutoring, a.k.a. Mr. Lanzetta, is by far one of the greatest tutors/teachers I have ever met. He is deeply knowledgeable of the subjects he teaches and genuinely cares about his students learning. Mr. Lanzetta’s passion for teaching has led him to incorporate technology into his lesson plans and leverage it in a way to facilitate learning. Also, he adapts and modifies his teaching style to fit each student’s learning style and needs. In my case, my SAT Reading score went up by over 100 points after taking his SAT prep class. Had I not taken the course, my score would have remained in the average range.
I enjoyed being able to work with a professor who is very knowledgeable in his field. He shares great interest and care for teaching others. His excitement to teach gives students the confidence that they will leave with all the tools to succeed in the subject matter. He gives constructive criticism which gives you a great insight to what needs to be improved while acknowledging what you are doing correctly.
Working with Danny was the best! He is so knowledgeable and patient. He is true professional. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.
Effective, motivating, able to individualize approach for each child's needs (Danny tutored 2 of our very different kids & will soon tutor #3 who is also very different & has been able to effectively relate to each). Very flexible to very demanding schedules. And a really nice person!
