About DaJuan
I have been playing guitar for almost a decade and am passionate about playing the guitar. I am keen to chill, intimate enviornments and my music reflects it. I first learned to play by ear and then learned what I was playing, so I tend to have a good ear in terms of learning songs. I can learn just about any song, and believe that learning how to play music is the best way to learn how to play guitar!
I started teaching simply by people asking me how I was playing the chords that I was playing or how I learned to write music the way I write it.
I taught myself how to play guitar, and I've helped many friends on their journey to becoming better musicians. I learned guitar by listening to songs and then learning how to play them.

English
First we learn things like major and minor scales and how they are important to chord structures. Then we learn how to play songs so that you can get started playing guitar right away. We learn what the chords and notes mean in context of the song so that you can learn to follow songs and play them proficiently.
I have mostly worked with friends but am excited to take on students!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what kind of music they want to play and why they want to play it. If they just want to play something because it's cool, chances are they will give up. Guitar is the most picked up instrument, but it's also the most dropped instrument. Most people think that after a month they will play like Jimmy Hendrix. In reality it takes a lot of work, a lot of failure, and a lot of dedication. So what do you want to play? Why do you want to play it? Are you ready to dedicate time to really learning how to play guitar?
