I love working with Davide from Bass & Guitar lessons. I study bass with him. He has helped me with many styles: rock, funk, R&B, disco, and metal. He understands them all. He is a talented musician and a patient teacher. He can play what I want to learn. I’ve been with him for a couple of 2-hour sessions in person and a dozen sessions online via Zoom. He has a multi-camera teaching system where he can point his second camera at the fingers I need to see and then adjust Zoom to use that second camera’s angle . His bass comes through clear over Zoom, which is sometimes hard to do. I have confidence that I will continue to learn what I want. We recently made a list of songs I like that have interesting (to me) basslines and he is helping me through them over time. I can already play the guitar and I told him when I met him that I want to be a bassist, not just a guitarist who plays a bass like a guitar. Davide loves music and teaching and it shows in his pursuit :) I’m well on the road, thanks to Davide!

Davide is a patient, dedicated and encouraging teacher. I first signed up for guitar lessons with him back in 2015 to challenge myself to try something new. I didn’t have any prior experience with playing music, so I was anxious and prepared to give up after a month or two. Davide has been a wonderful teacher ever since! He is attentive to the learning process and creative in coming up with different ways to teach concepts, using music you like to teach you how to play.

Pretty early on we started with jazz and I struggled to even hear a swing note, let alone play one. When I was finally able to play along to Ella Fitzgerald’s rendition of “Blue Moon” I was, and remain still, so happy! We’ve done different flavors of the blues since then and have been working on the bass too. Things I never thought I would be able to say...I highly recommend lessons with is guy!
