When people realize they can play guitar with little effort is amazing to watch. Effort and achievement is the best feeling in the world and I love helping my students understand that feeling.

I have been teaching for 10+ years and my goal for every student is excellence. With lessons about music and the music business I help my students construct realistic goals that they can accomplish.

Guitar as an artistic medium has much to explore and I would love to bring in new explorers to this amazing expedition we call music and maybe we can find a new sound together.

I started teaching at Winchester during my first year at UNLV and through word of mouth I obtained private students.

Graduated Las Vegas Academy as a guitar major and went on study at UNLV for performance. I currently teach at the Winchester Dondero Culteral Center as both the guitar and violin teacher while maintaining private students

About the lesson

I will first asess my students skill level to further understand their goals to help my students work towards them.

Many different people at many ages and skill levels. some as young as 7 and others old enough to remember when The Eagles first debuted. I have also worked with autistic students and students with learning disabilities.

Experience is a valuable commodity, but if youre a beginner any teacher will always have more experience than you. what would be more important is to have a teacher to help your personal goals. If youre trying to have better technique, or if youre trying to understand a specific style of music, or even just trying to learn how to read music, you want your teacher to be tailored to your needs.

One of my students recently placed 3rd in a county-wide competition with his trio placing 1st and his quartet placing 2nd.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Am I committed? What am I trying to achieve? Is this just a hobby or a career? What is my price range?

Many musicians have many different teachers and what most people dont realize how much time is put into learning music. Although its not a question, but students should consider that the amount of time it takes for a student to be considered proficient is based on how much time youre willing to put into practicing. a student who practices an hour a day is better than a student who only practices 15 minutes a day.

To compete with other teachers in the valley I charge $20 for a half hour and $40 for an hour as well as offer a free first lesson to see if theyre willing to continue with guitar lessons.
