“I have been taking guitar lessons from Ron for almost two years. I had not originally intended to learn finger style guitar playing but Ron explained the approach and technique and I decided to give it a try... I not only discovered a truly wonderful type of playing, but I have had the pleasure of an excellent teacher. Ron is patient, goal oriented and goes beyond just a night’s lesson in order to expand your skills, knowledge and technique... I feel like I have a friend as well as an excellent teacher.” ...Richard S. – Accountant

“I’ve been taking lessons from him for a little more than a year and have really enjoyed the journey. He is goal oriented but laid-back at the same time. What I like the best is that he thinks a lot about how people learn new skills (from a neuroscience perspective) and seems to use this insight to tailor his approach for different students. I’m impressed at how immersed Ron is in his art-form. He clearly has decades of experience playing the guitar... Finally, I like the fact that he is very tech-savvy and uses technology tools to help me further my playing when its appropriate.” ...John P. – IT Consultant

“If I could add a few more stars for Ron Sweet, I would. Ron is an extremely talented musician... Sessions with Ron were comfortable and inviting. I went to him as a TOTAL beginner... I ALWAYS left my lessons feeling happy, relaxed, and excited to practice and to improve... He is grounded, mindful, thoughtful, and truly cares about his students and wants to see them improve and meet their goals.” ...Samantha W. – Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher

“Ron Sweet is an excellent guitar teacher. I have been working with him for over a year now... He is patient, kind, flexible and available–even outside of lessons, if questions come up. He gives precise recommendations on how to make the most out of practice, how to use voice (which I had not even considered)... and is able to make my favorite songs accessible to me, according to my skill level, while consistently and gently pushing me out of my comfort zone... I would highly recommend him.” ...Katie O. – Acupuncturist

“Ron is an excellent guitar teacher who I would recommend to anyone interested in fingerstyle guitar. His passion for the guitar is contagious and I leave each lesson with a renewed exuberance for fingerstyle guitar. Ron has a real talent for making his lessons both fun and challenging, often arranging songs to meet the particular needs of his students. He has a patient and easy going attitude but also strives for perfection.” ...Chris O. – Biochemist

Nothing rewards me more than helping my students reach and exceed their musical goals.
