About Charlie

Hi, I'm Charlie and provide 1 on 1 music lessons for all ages and levels. I hold a Bacherlors from the Aaron Copland School of Music and a MA from Queens College. With over 20 years of teaching experience I am dedicated to bringing out the very best in all my students!

I hold a bachelors degree from the Aaron Copeland school of music in addition to a baccalaureate in music education. As a dedicated teacher with over 15 years in teaching institutions I am very dedicated to education.

About the lesson

The first few lessons are dedicated to taking the time to find out how a student learns best- Auditory kinesthetic, visual, hybrid, etc. In addition, we mark out clear goals and help the student create a reasonable practice schedule in order to help them get there. But most of all we have FUN! Music is a way to express ourselves in unique and powerful ways.

I have worked with all ages of students and students with disabilities.

I would say, find a teacher you like! All teachers have different methods and ways of instructing but the ones you learn the most from are the people who you connect with personally.

Recently, I put together a virtual recital for my students and invited their parents. It was so much fun to queue up the videos, sit back and watch all of the hard work my students have done this year!

Students should ask, what style of music are you most proficient in? Have you worked with my age group before? Are you affiliated with any institution? Do you teach music theory or songs? What method books do you use?
