About Jason

I’m Jason, and I am from Louisville, Ky. I have over 27 years of experience with children both as a Competitive Gymnastics coach and as a preschool/recreational coach. I joined Champion’s staff as the Boys Team Department Leader in 2007 (but have worked both within the state of KY and outside the state coaching gymnastics since 1994), later went on to run the Pre-School & Recreational programs at AAK-Oldham County and am now the Department Leader/Team Director for all of Champion’s Team Programs. I also served the archdiocese of Louisvile for 6 years as a K-8 Spanish Teacher and continue to freelance teaching and tutoring Spanish one on one. During the last 27 years, I’ve personally competed and placed at the Regional & National levels as well as coached the children in my charge to perfection earning three career 10’s, and near perfection with eight 9.9’s! Many of my teams (both boys and girls) have had undefeated seasons and individually have won and placed at both the Regional and National Levels. I was Kentucky’s Compulsory Coach of the Year in 2014, Champion Gymnastics’ Coach of the Year also in 2014, Kentucky’s Optional Coach of the Year in 2017 and St. Raphael’s Teacher of the Year in 2010. Aside from my extensive background with children and gymnastics, I add a unique enthusiasm to my teams and classes as a byproduct of my lifelong involvement with the performing arts where I grace the stage at least once every year. I enjoy infusing my love for this sport into each child I teach. Currently, I coach floor for girl’s team Levels 4-10.
