About Willa

I love teaching students to find their balance in life through the assistance of these majestic sentient beings, my horses. They provide an opportunity to find peace and harmony, while building self-esteem.

I accomplish this in an holistic manner through methods using science-based evidence, classical training and building on one's own intuition.

A very rich 50 years of living with horses and studying the herd culture qualifies me to safely share their world with you. Presently, I run a non-profit therapeutic horseback riding program with 2 similar trainers in SW Idaho at the Dream River Ranch called Students and Horses Excel. Websites are currently being updated (2020) and FB pages are active.

Some things we do are: riding instruction at all levels, trail rides for small and large groups, vaulting for balance, mounted military games (including jousting and horsearchery) for fun and historical demos, Haute Ecole (high school manuervers) for horses, and liberty. We teach in Aussie, English and western saddles, bareback and double long-lines as well. We are unique to SW Idaho and can help you find your equine groove.

Seeing the succes of a horse moving forward in balance and harmony because the rider has achieved the same. It is a beautiful picture that brings tears to my eyes. -Willa
