About Luciana

I have tutored various students ranging from elementary, junior high to college undergraduates in Italian (my mother tongue) and French.

I am very passionate about the student's interest in learning another language (I speak 4 languages) and honor their interest by offering a really caring approach: learning a foreign language widens perspectives and knowledge.

I care about giving students the best for their learning, helping them to identify ways to continue their learning experience even when the lesson is over; supplying them with resources that may assist them better: each student is unique about the reason they started this 'journey' and I consider this reason very important as far as directing the lessons in a certain way.

For parents:

I have taught kids as little as 6 years accomplishing wonderful results.

Kids are natural learners. Some of them have great capabilities since an early age and if you as a parent (I am myself one and my household is bilingual) have Italian or French roots and would like your kids to learn the language of your country of origin, I can help you fulfill this wish.

I enjoy seeing my students thriving in their learning journey and seeing their excitement and their advancing

I started when I was really very young. At a young age I was helping younger students with private lessons for their homework

I have been teaching languages for more than 30 years. I have lived in three continents. I have learned such languages since I was 8

About the lesson

Every student has different needs.

My initial approach is to understand their requirements, the level of knowledge of the language they wish to learn and why they want to learn.

Some students are going to visit the country whose language they are trying to learn, have relatives there. Some others desire to learn the language for their personal development.

A first telephone or email conversation will address all the above. Then if the student desires to start, a day and time is mutually agreed.
