About Sophie

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and lived there for 15 years. My first languages were both Japanese and English at the same time so I've been bilingual my entire life. I went to a Japanese school till the 9th grade and am currently attending an American high school in New York City.

I've been teaching young children Japanese since I was 13 and translating from a young age for family members.

I would love to teach you or your child Japanese or even help out with Japanese classwork/homework if you have any. Please feel free to contact me regarding any questions or comments.

I have studied the Japanese language (via private school) throughout my entire life in Tokyo, all the way from Kindergarten to high school. I can fluently speak Japanese and English as well as read and write as well.

About the lesson

Please let me know your level of understanding of the Japanese language (beginner, somewhat fluent, etc) and what you would like to learn from me (schoolwork help, for traveling purposes, professional or casual Japanese, etc). From there I will be able to customize a lesson/class for you with your input.
