About Rachel
Hello, I'm Rachel, a passionate educator with a diverse academic background and extensive tutoring experience. I hold undergraduate degrees in Philosophy, English, and Cinema from the University of lowa and NYU, where I developed a deep appreciation for critical thinking and effective communication.
Throughout my college years, I dedicated myself to tutoring peers in essay writing though Tutor Iowa (an honors college program that granted me the ability to not only understand the various learning disparities that abound, but also how to combat them student to student). Not only this, but test preparation (methodologies) and reading comprehension. My approach is characterized by patience, personalized guidance, and a commitment to fostering both academic growth and confidence in
my students.
Working with me means gaining a dedicated mentor who tailors sessions to your individual learning style and goals. I believe in creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore ideas, and ultimately achieve success.
