About Cody
I had a small tutoring business in my hometown during my summers there from my freshman year of high school through my senior year of college. I worked with high school students during that time, focusing on the 'core' subjects and SAT/ACT prep.
I tailor my tutoring methods to each student's strengths while holding each of them accountable for their own successes/improvements. I praise and criticize as merited. I adapt my teaching to student--and parent--goals and maintain open communication throughout the tutoring process.
My ultimate tutoring goal is counterintuitive: equipping students with the necessary tools and strategies for setting and maintaining their own learning paths, thereby rendering my assistance obsolete.
