About Da'niyah
started working as an assistant teacher at my church last year, mostly working with students from grades 1 through 9. I was first apprehensive to volunteer because I didn't get along well with the professors or the other assistants. Recently, I've discovered that, even though trying new things can be challenging at first, you usually manage to get through them and end up liking them. I did end up making a couple errors before I understood everything, one of which was delivering the instruction incorrectly. I prepared to assist in teaching the lesson the night before by studying the material for that day. However, because I didn't know how their schedule worked at the time, I decided to do what I thought would be best and I did it to the best of my ability and was later informed that my approach to giving the lesson was incorrect. I was sorry for my error, but I took what I learned from it and did things correctly the next time. As a result, I have grown to love teaching and, in addition, I am constantly learning new things.
