About Alex
At Cornerstone Mixed Martial Arts we take multiple disciplines of martial arts and blend them together to best apply to self defense and competition. Our program will improve your physical fitness, confidence, balance, and technical ability. We have a family oriented environment that is welcoming to all.
Mixed Martial Arts is my passion and enjoy sharing all I have learned. We teach kickboxing for fitness, competition, self defense, and/or just for the enjoyment of the art depending on your goals. My first experience teaching was when I founded the Mixed Martial Arts club at Bradley University in 2010.
I have background in wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and mixed martial arts. I have been training for over 15 years and have competed in every discipline. I ran the Mixed Martial Arts club for 4 years while I was getting my engineering degree at Bradley University.

About the lesson

First I will ask basic questions on an individual's goals and experience so I can customize my approach to their needs. Then I will start with some basic warm ups and if the individual has previous experience I will evaluate what level they are at. From there I start the teaching of techniques. Every session will include learning, improving and an integrated workout.
I have worked with students from ages 4-60 and experience levels of 0-pro. So basically anyone. I have also had students that were differently abled.
Try as many as you can to find the right fit and meet the other students.
