About Thomas

Tensho Goju is a serious diverse and versatile martial arts discipline focused on self-defense, physical conditioning, spiritual wellness and situational awareness. The training sharpens the mind and senses, improves focus, instills discipline, builds confidence, augments self-esteem and spiritual enrichment.

We strive to help students Look Sharp, Feel Sharp and to Be Sharp.

I have over 48 years experience in martial arts and trained thousands of students in various countries and states within the US. Earned the rank of 10th degree black belt, with many achievement awards, trophies, two times World Hall of Fame, and appeared in tabloids and nternational magazine.

What I enjoy about the work I do is watching the transformation of students unfold from having no confidence, low self-esteem and a lack of discipline to appreciating themself and others, showing respect, elevation in confidence, as well as taking pride and ownership of who they are and their purpose in life.

The education and training I have that relates to my work stems from military leadership schools, teaching self defense and karate classes to divers audiences youth and adults for over three decades.

About the lesson

Process for working with new students involve interview, orientation, introduction of Tensho Goju, and initial training with physical conditioning, situational awareness, development of hand strikes and proper execution of stances and movements, followed by basic self defense for getting out of various grabs and holds.

Student of Tensho goju. Shidoshi Thomas Felder excellent instructor. Perfect balance of challenge, pace, learning. System has goju ryu karate, wing chun, and Aki Jitsu mixed into a new complete system. Again perfect balance of traditional karate class format yet also self defense street capable training. Highly recommended has been a dream come true to me. I have grown mentally and physically, much more confident now. I started at age of 57.
