About Rosanna
I am a dual certified in elementary and special education. I have 15 years of tutoring experience along with 10 years of special education teaching experience. I have taught students with special needs from ages 4-21 inclusively. I have a multitude of experience in a variety of disabilities including but not limited to Autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, downe syndrome, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbances, spinal bifida. I have held the titles of autistic support, emotional support, life skills support and reading interventionist teacher. With my wide range of experience, I believe my services will stand out amongst the rest.
I am passionate about educating and seeing progress in my students academically, socially, and emotionally. I am currently a life skills support teacher looking to support individuals further by providing 1:1 attention or small group instruction through the forms of tutoring. I truly believe every moment can be a teachable moment and the world is full learning opportunities. Seeing the students light up and that "aha moment" is one of the best moments for me as a teacher/tutor.
I started tutoring in a neighborhood tutoring program in college while working for my dual certification in elementary and special education along with a dual major in education and psychology. After graduation, I worked as a paraprofessional, 1:1, continued tutoring, and was a swim coach for a high school team. 2012 was when I officially started my teaching career as a special educator and held the titles of autistic support teacher, emotional support teacher, reading specialist, and life skills support teacher. I have worn many hats and have taught in urban, rural and suburban areas.
I have a dual teacher certification in special education and elementary education. I also have had benefits of training as a teacher.

The first session is free and is meant to see if the tutor and student is a right fit for one another. During the first session, I will talk about my experiences and set my expectations. This is also a time to discuss schedules, prices, and Q & A. This session should take no more than 30 minutes.
I have taught students with special needs from ages 4-21 inclusively. My daughter had this tutor as her Life Skills Support classroom teacher from 9th grade to 11th. She gained the skills and confidence to master the elementary education level language arts, math, reading and so much more. This tutor does an exceptional job with special needs students. Let me start off by saying my son hated to go to school. Once Ms. Lee became his teacher he was setting his own alarm to get up for school. My son went from below grade level to being in the distinguished honor roll for the past three years. Ms. Lee cares and loves what she does. Working with special needs. Children is a challenge. She made it look very easy. 1000% the best teacher my son has had. All the yrs that my son was in school and only because of her, he excelled in every single subject
