About Bismuth (Lila)
While I am only one person, I strive to give all my students the best experience possible. I grew up fortunate enough to have a good education and I would like to help those who aren't as fortunate or who might struggle.
I have worked with children of all ages and levels of education. I do work with kids who have special needs too.
I like to begin by assessing where a student is academically and what they might struggle on. Once I understand where they are, I like to begin with content they know and are familiar with and use that as the base to build off of.

When working with a new student, I like to understand who they are as a learner and as a person. I think that understanding the type of learning style best suited to the student is key. During the work, I like to allow my students to get to know me as a person. I understand that I might not be the right fit for all students and I like to ensure that they will get the best education possible.
I have worked with students ranging from elementary levels to high school levels. I also work with special ed students and students who might have different needs when learning.
When looking for a teacher, ask yourself if you feel connected with your teacher while also learning something. A positive connection with a teacher is key to learning.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before talking to a teacher about your needs, ask yourself what specifically do you need? I like to have a list of subjects that I struggle with most on the top and those that I struggle with the least on the bottom. That way you can cover everything you need a lot of help on first then move to subjects you are more familiar with.

Details
Pricing will change depending on the subject and time. I typically charge 20-25 an hour. I do understand that this might not be in reach for some of my students so I like to work with the student and their family to figure something out that will work.
