About Vallari
Hi everyone. My name is Vallari! Thank you so much for exploring my page. My mission is to help others who need any type of academic help, specifically in math. I am very passionate about math and I believe my great communication skills and patience can help any student. I have been tutoring for over an year now and I have helped my tutee learn so much in our time. Please reach out to me if you are interested! Again, thanks for your time!
After introductions, I will look over the student's notes and get myself familiarized with what they are doing currently. I have experience and knowledge, but I'm not perfect, so it's critical that I acknowledge what the student is doing. After that, I will personally ask the student what they struggle with and we will tackle the problems together.
I have tutored in biology, specifically basic biology for a student who was having a hard time focusing on the work. I found that if we worked and then took breaks and talked about weekend plans, for example, the student could work a lot better and more efficiently. Breaks are definitely okay, especially when I work with smaller children.

I like to get to know the student before I start tutuoring. Learning about the student's passions, drives and motivations can help me focus in on a teaching method that works just for them. So I begin every tutoring session with a little get-to-know-me session for both the tutee and for myself.
I have worked with young students such as students from 4th or 5th grades and I have worked with students from 9th grade. Definitely a different feel working with these two different grade levels, but the work is very rewarding and influential.
The best advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise is not to stress yourself with the hiring process, but to take a deep breath and follow your heart. You'll know who the right tutor for you is when they come along because they will teach you so uniquely that you will learn so much.
I was working with a girl with her biology homework and we were doing this problem and all of a sudden, without my help, she started writing the answer and got it correct. That was one of the first times I realized how much people just need a little extra push and they can do extraordinary things on their own. This fond memory motivated me to help out other students.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about personality traits they look for in a teacher. They should think about hiring teachers who are patient, cooperative, and willing to help their students kindly and efficiently. Teachers who are willing to make schedule changes for their children should be the ones that students should hire.
