About Akshay

As a computer engineering student at Purdue University maintaining at 3.92 GPA, I have picked up a lot along my journey, securing internships at VMware, ToolTopia, Bluescape, and Akemona working with a wild variety of technologies ranging from Blockchain to Robotic Automation and Web Automation to Networking. I have experienced a lot and I would love to share those experiences with you.

I started teaching kids chess at a pretty young age and my passion for teaching simply expanded from there. I found myself moving from chess to math and computer science and wherever I found a passion, I felt the desire to share that with other people. I really appreciate these subjects and the beauty that lies there and want to let other people see that beauty.

I have tutored other kids before. I have always been a good student and have always been very interested in Math and Programming. That is the reason I went to college to become a Computer Engineer. I have helped others take subjects they hate and help break it down into smaller chunks to make it easier to understand.

About the lesson

I usually try to gauge where they are at and then structure a curriculum that is designed to help them as much as possible. I don't like keeping it strictly professional, as I personally would not have much fun learning if it was that way. I like connecting with my students and learning about them, have some fun, but also get work down and make sure we are being productive.

I have worked with students of all ages, from elementary to high school. I know how hard it is to understand some subjects, and I want to help as much as I can.

I would make sure that you look for someone who isn't going ot continuously drill the same things in your head over and over, as that is very boring. I would try to look for people who are creative in the way they approach things and if one idea doesn't work, they will try in a different way.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Teachers are there for whatever problems you have. Regardless of whether that specific teacher is focused in that area, I think it is important to always reach out as I believe a teacher's number one priority should be to help students.

I usually charge $20-$25 based on the age. I don't do this for the money as much as to help other people who may have troubles learning a soubject and potentially help them develop a passion for the subject.
