About Jessica
I am a college freshman at the University of Houston - Clear Lake going for a history degree with a certification to teach 7th to 12th grade. Having helped teachers in various grades with tutoring students, I realized my passion for teaching. I took teaching classes in high school and will be taking more specified classes in college. I tutor K-12th, mostly in math, English, and social studies. During the pandemic, all tutoring will be done remotely. I am currently not taking any tutoring requests.
As a first-generation college student, I understand the importance of education. A good education is one of the biggest factors of getting out of the cycle of poverty, even so much as finishing your high school education. Helping others has always been a passion of mine, and to help others get a good education is the best thing that you can do.
I am currently in college for a history degree, graduating with a certificate to teach 7th through 12th grade social studies. I have helped teachers tutor other students in various grades and have helped classmates with their school work. In high school, I took various classes on teaching, taking more specified classes in college.
