About Patrick

Hi! My name is Patrick Sullivan and I am a graduate student at the University of Kansas pursuing a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering. My cumulative undergraduate GPA finished at 3.87. I have one semester of undergraduate teaching experience, one semester of graduate teaching experience, and two semesters of grading experience. Some of my favorite subjects are Algebra, Calculus, Statics, and Structural Analysis. If you need math or engineering tutoring services, I would love to connect with you.

During my undergraduate years, I was always the smart kid that people would come to for homework help. In my senior year, I was offered a position as an undergraduate teaching fellow in one of my favorite classes. This led me to be the graduate teaching assistant for the same class the next year after transitioning from undergrad to graduate school. Throughout my academic journey, I have received so much help from students and faculty alike and now that I am more experienced I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others in the same way.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering with a cumulative GPA of 3.87. I have two semesters of teaching assistantship experience, one at the undergraduate level and one at the graduate level, and two semesters of grading experience.

About the lesson

First, I like to get to know the student through an email, text, or phone conversation. Not only will this break the ice in terms of communication but also allow me to get a feel for what they need and how best I can be of service to them.

Both of my teaching experiences have involved teaching college students typically in their third year of study. I work best with students who are Freshmen in High School or older.

Look for someone you can connect with easily; someone you can trust. Tutoring is just as much about the personal connection as it is the knowledge sharing.

I am a big Kansas City Chiefs fan so watching them win the Super Bowl two years ago was a dream come true.
