I understand higher lever math very well and can explain it many ways to help students find a way that works best for them.
i am also very flexible as far as scheduling goes. Although during the Corona Pandemic, I am only tutoring online. Sorry!
I love kids and I love Math and there is nothing better than helping a student finally understand what I love!
I've always wanted to be a teacher. I loved some of my teachers growing up and how they made me feel successful and cared about. I like to pass that on.
I taught in Howard County for 19 years and have tutored for many years. I have my Bachelors and Masters in Education. I am certified in K through six and also six through 12 I am also National Board Certified in Secondary Mathematics.

I like to find out what a student knows so I can meet them where they are at and build from there.
In the classroom, I worked exclusively with middle school students. I have always had gifted and talented classes, as well as below grade Level classes and before or after school extra help sessions. I have tutored students from early elementary through college. My Masters is in Special Education, which has not only made me successful with students of different abilities, but also gave me many tips and tricks that I can use when differentiating for all students.

Details
Pricing depends on any traveling, virtual or face to face and how long the session is. Some students, especially younger students are more comfortable with shorter sessions. Generally speaking, I hover around $.40 to $.60 per minute.
