About Ashley
I have homeschooled my own children from kindergarten through graduation. I practice math daily and genuinely enjoy it. I am an excellent reader and very good at catching and correcting grammar mistakes. I still enjoy learning new things and spreading that joy to others.
I always wanted to be a teacher. I decided to homeschool my children and got to be their teacher first.

I would like to get to know what my student is interested in and use that to help them with whatever concept they are struggling with. I would have the student answer some questions in each subject in order to get some understanding of what they do and do not understand.
High school, middle school, elementary and preschool. I have a son who is dyslexic and have been learning a lot about how to help him with his reading and writing.
Find someone you like spending time with and can build a relationship with or you won't learn anything.
Independence Day was especially fun this year. It seemed like everyone in the neighborhood had their own fireworks displays. They were all going off around the same time. It felt very unifying.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to be as specific as possible when telling your teacher what you are struggling with. Try to include the parts you do understand as well as the parts you don't.
