About Makaila
I am great at teaching students English and developing their essays thoroughly. I will teach them how to set up essays and transitions they can properly utilize.
As for math, I will help students understand to the best of their ability and thoroughly explain each subject that they have trouble with.
I understand that many students struggle with these areas, as I have once, and I am here to provide them a helping hand and to help develop their skills.
I got started teaching because now that I have free time, I want to help others with their education. I know these are trying times and it may even be harder for the student to adapt to certain conditions. Trying to learn with distance learning c, can be confusing therefore I want to be available to students who are struggling and to give them my undivided attention.
I have taking multiple English classes, finishing with AP English. In addition, I have also taken multiple advanced math classes ending with either A's or B's, with my highest one being "Math Analysis Honors".

My typical process for working with a new student is to gather an understanding of what they already know, the area or material in which they are struggling with, and help them step by step until they get better. I typically like to practice multiple problems in which the student is struggling in, and will have them try one on their own to see their improvement. I will complete this process until the student feels comfortable with the material.
I have worked with students while in school who were struggling with English, Math, and as well as Chemistry. I am able to extend my tutoring to those who may struggle in Chemistry. I have to take AP Chemistry as well, therefore I am open to that option.
