About Ashley
I have always had a passion for helping students grow to their fullest potential. I believe that it is important to find how each child learns and adapt to their ways of learning. Every child is unique. I am certified in Special Education and have experience with grades PreK-8.
I am a graduate from William Paterson University of NJ. I graduated with my BA in Early Childhood Education with a certification in Teaching Students with Disabilities and a BA in Psychology. I have worked with children/students for the past 9 years.

When working with a new student, I try to first get to know them. I like to find out what they are interested in as well as what they dislike. This way I can find the best way to engage them in learning. Using a child's interests in their learning supports in getting them to enjoy the process and try their very best.
I have worked with students of all ages (infants-12th grade). I have worked with both general education and special education students.
Working as a teacher, COVID-19 has really given a big change to the learning process. Being a teacher in a town of need, I have had to help my students transition to digital learning as well as packet learning. It has been extremely hard on students and I try everything that I can to make my students feel at ease and excited to still learn even under the circumstances that we are in.
