About Eden
My name is Eden, and I am a current undergraduate student studying Cognitive Studies and Psychology with Child Development Minor at Vanderbilt University. I am an experienced tutor with 3+ years of STEM subjects & Korean/English teaching experience and 1+ of college counseling experience.
As a local STEM tutor, I guaranteed a letter A grade for all Algebra 1 students while leading a team of middle school students to place 2nd in Maryland's Science Olympiad. Subjects such as Algebra 1 and middle school science subjects are extremely important because they set the foundation for every upper-level STEM courses as students move up to high school and so on. And I am happy to assist any student with any skill level.
I am a native Korean speaker who is also fluent in English. I love to use my linguistic & cultural studies background in my language teaching, as I strongly believe the best way to learn a language is to have fun with it!
I personally got a full ride to schools like Vanderbilt, Emory, Hamilton, UMD (BK scholar), etc., and I have mentored 3 students last year getting them to numerous Top US colleges such as Stanford, UPenn, Cornell, Georgetown, etc. I treat the college admissions process as a unique storytelling opportunity, and I am happy to assist with anything that goes along during this process (ranging from essay brainstorming to writing LOCIs).
For the past few years, I have absolutely loved my job as a tutor, and I want all of my students to get everything they need out of me! I am beyond excited to meet future students:)
Seeing my students being more confident in their weak subjects, getting into their dream schools, going beyond the initial goal we set together, etc.

I initially became interested in learning Korean because I fell in love with Korean Netflix dramas and their music. After learning the basic Korean characters and sentence structures, Eden was excellent in incorporating my interest in Korean culture as we used content from my favorite K-dramas and YouTube channels to learn Korean in a practical way. She was very responsive to my texts whenever I had questions, and as I am studying abroad at Yonsei now, I know my experience here in Korea would not have been the same if I didn't take classes with her!
