About Kyra
My patience, attention to detail, and dedication to students is unparalleled. I will ensure that students master the material and emerge more confident and knowledgeable in their subjects.
Witnessing the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment students experience after grasping challenging material is immensely rewarding. I enjoy helping students overcome academic challenges and strengthen their skills, confidence, and resourcefulness.
I developed a passion for working with students as a volunteer Writing Fellow in my school district's Writing Center. After taking a gap year from college, I decided to translate my experience and passion as a volunteer tutor into my own freelance tutoring business.
I attend Yale University and have tutored students for over 3 years in ACT/SAT prep, essay revision + writing, and all math, science, and social studies subjects. I graduated Valedictorian of my high school and received the IB Diploma, 5s on all APs, and a 35 on the ACT. I am a National Merit Scholar and Presidential Scholar nominee.

I begin the process by discussing the student's academic goals and formulating a plan to achieve success in the desired subject. I'll assess the student's personal learning style and decide how to structure sessions. Typically, sessions will consist of a combination of completing practice questions, reviewing topics, redoing past exams, and creating study materials together.
