About Wyatt

I am a stand alone college student at U of A. I am in my fourth year working towards my major in mechanical engineering. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I love helping others succeed.

I have had great tutors in the past that got me here today so, I considder this paying it forward. When I was younger I had a weak foundation in mathmatics but learned to love it. Starting engineering in college was difficult for me especially having a weak background in math. Tutors helped me tremendously and helped bring me and my GPA up. I currently have a 3.45 cumulative GPA and have taken mathmatics up to Differential Equations. I have also taken many classes that are off the beaten path such as computational mathmatics and statistics.

This is my first job as a tutor specifically but I have been teaching swim lessons every summer since I was 15. Since then I joined AFROTC at U of A and have gotten a lot of great experiance teaching as a flight commander.

I tought swim lessons to all different age groups for six years. I was a flight commander in the Air Force ROTC program at U of A. I have had many tutors who changed my life.

About the lesson

Typically I like to have a first meeting so I can get to know them and what the struggle is. From there I can go make a study plan, draft practice problems, and brush up on it myself. The next meetings will start with questions on the practice problems and then a discussion on what the student wants to focus on wether it is the same topic or the next one in line.

I have worked with all kinds of students ranging from young children to adults. I have also worked with children who have autism and downsyndrome.

Look for someone you will get along with and who can understand you.

Recently I had the opportunity to visit my roommate and best friend while he was home in Puerto Rico.
