About Melinda
Hi! I am an online/remote tutor that teaches K-8th grade! I love being around children and helping kids learn as my learning style is “super fun” and impacted with engagement so the children can retain the lessons they learned in a way they will remember it. My job as a tutor is to be able to find the best solution/teaching style that the student/your child needs to be able to get, those test scores up, grades up, over exceed semester goals, and as well as to be able to stick with these new habits that I have formed inside of the student, so they can do this on their own without a tutor/teacher. I also have a very flexible schedule for anyone that needs to request to have a tutor at specific times! The times that I am available are 24/7 when anyone needs to contact me, to set up an appointment, to give payment, ask questions, etcetera. But I am only available with tutoring/classes from 2:30 pm to 6 pm Pacific time. I am a high school student that has over a 4.0 GPA, every year since elementary I have always gotten awards and honor roll credentials for my academics, received state rewards for my high testing score, and have even gotten invited by Stanford law to participate in their summer program this summer of 2022. Of which only the highest achieving students are allowed to get invited into. I am someone that takes my work seriously and pridefully, along with having and willing to make any accommodations for parents and or students. Please note that the starting price is $25-40 dollars per child since I do not go by an hour (Putting a price per hour will make it more expensive for you, meaning fewer students aren't able to get help, so instead I charge per child instead of an hour. :). I will be able to work with the children/child for as long as you want just as long as you pay the $25- 40 dollar fee for your child/children to be in the classroom (online) with me at that time. My service is the best service you can acquire. The reason for the statement is that my teaching style is always to accommodate and help the students and their parents, during my lessons they will be fully prepared as I will make sure I will be working with the students instead of having them clueless, confused, unfocused, and nevertheless having the parents waste their money on something they thought was something else. within every lesson, I always make sure I bring the fun, high-energy, engagement, and I make sure that I talked with the students and parents with any questions they have beforehand, to make sure that they get their questions answered!!! As well as I am not the type of tutor/teacher that “hates/ is bored” of my job, I enjoy what I am doing which makes me have a good experience, as well as my customers (you), have a great experience as well. on different platforms, there are a lot of tutors/teachers that are doing this just for the money and not even trying to accommodate their customers/ students and parents/ The ones that are paying them and giving them the money that they so desire. But do not even give in the effort to give good service to them, and with that when you come into my online classroom you will have the best experience, the best environment, and overall the best results from my teachings/help. I have a lot of experience working with children, and I have a lot of experience with tutoring / helping others, For always have been the type to give a helping hand with the teachers when kids we're being troubled with school, even after school I always held meetings with teachers and students to guide them into helping their grades, I have also had professional tutoring that I have hosted as well.

My typical process when working with a new student, I firstly have a consultation/ orientation with a student and parent to find out what they are specifically lacking and or having trouble in their learning. most new students will go through a process with me where I find out and pick up on their bad habits and the things that they are not progressing through when it comes to their learning capabilities. When I do this I'm able to connect with the student/students as well as even the parents to understand what the student needs from me. I will also make sure that I set up certain work exercises specifically for that student and or class.
I have worked with a vast number of students, even some in special ED, so my ablities are almost unlimited.
