I specialize in organizing the information and presenting it clearly with visuals and step-by-step instructions as applicable. I explain the general overview first to clarify the information then go in depth for a full understanding.

I enjoy seeing that lightbulb moment in students; that moment when finally everything makes sense. I know how wonderful it can be to finally understand a complex topic and get second-hand enjoyment out of seeing my students experience it.

I start by having the student explain what they're learning about, what they're struggling with, and what help they want from me. Everyone learns differently, so I try to customize each session to the student's needs. 

Each session typically consists of the student explaining their current understanding of the topic followed by a brief lesson on the topic before diving into practice problems or application of the information. I allow for questions throughout the session. No question is too simple and all are deserving of a good answer. 



My experience is predominantly with tutoring college students.



Not all tutors will be a good match, and that's okay! Tutors are people too and have their own personality and style of teaching that may/may not work for you. If you find that you don't mesh well with your tutor or don't feel that you're getting much out of it, look for someone else that can better serve your needs. 



A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about how you learn best. Do you like lists? Pictures? Diagrams? Knowing this can help inform your tutor of how best to help you. 

Personally, I like everything to be presented in a well organized visual manor. So that might be a well organized list with pictures on the side or a flow chart. I try to organize my lessons and include lots of visuals to make the information easier to digest.
