Carl is a very talented instructor. He has been patient and attentive to my learning needs. I've studied with him for both vocal and bass guitar, and I feel like his teaching style is nurturing to the student he is teaching.

Carl helped me learn the songs and techniques I was most interested in, while still guiding me toward material that strengthened my technical skills in a natural way. His lessons are always engaging, and he's an excellent teacher!

When I started ukulele lessons with Carl I had no music background other than singing with the congregation at church. Carl tailors lessons to my skill level and my interests. He’s always positive and encouraging. Carl finds songs that help me develop skills I want to improve. I’m learning songs I choose by artists such as the Beatles, CCR, Ben E King, Van Morrison, Avril Lavigne, Layup, Alternate Routes, Layup, and the Turtles. I’m also learning Christmas songs and Christian hymns.
