About Eric
I teach lessons on all brass instruments: Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba. I'm very good with beginners and have had great success with intermediate and advanced students as well. Being a professional musician for several years in the Chicago area before moving to Tampa Bay in 2013, I bring a wealth of real-world experience to my students.
I love seeing my students make progress and see them have a breakthrough! I also really enjoy teaching one-on-one.
Several years ago, as a professional trumpet player in the Chicago area, I began to be recommended for private lessons. My career grew from there by word of mouth. Since moving to the Tampa Bay area 7 years ago, I was blessed to be given the opportunity of offering private lessons to brass players at a local middle school with an excellent band program that feeds into one of the best high school band programs in the area.
I have a Bachelor of Music Composition degree from Oral Roberts University.

I approach each student as the individual that he or she is. This includes their level of ability but also includes their personality. Some students are very outgoing and some can be very shy. I have had great success with all personality types. With over 20 years of tutoring experience, I have even learned to work with students with various learning disabilities. I generally take the student from whatever place they are in band class at school. Once they feel confident about how they are performing in band, I will then move them into a series of method books for their instrument. I also will help my students prepare for All-County band auditions as well as Solo and Ensemble contests.
I have had the privilege of working with all ages and levels of students, from middle school beginners through advanced high school players.
