About Kian
Hello! My name is Kian, I'm a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter/producer, I've been teaching music for over 5 years and I want to teach you to play music! I teach fun and practical lessons that are catered towards your individual tastes, style, and goals! We won't be trudging through the typical cannon of sterile, outdated exercises and old, standard repetoire pieces. Whether you want to learn guitar, bass, piano, drums, or music production, I will help you build a solid musical foundation, give you the tools to be creative on your own, and most importantly: have you playing a song within your first week of lessons. Learning a new instrument can be challenging, but it should never be a chore. I can't wait to meet you and help you discover a new passion for music!
I find great joy in breaking down concepts and techniques that students previously thought were impossible for them to play or understand. Once you realize the barrier to entry is actually much lower than you had expected, the real fun begins.
I have been teaching music lessons to adults and children alike for over 5 years. I also graduated with a degree in Music Production and Songwriting from Drexel University in 2020. Currently based in LA, I am a regularly gigging musician that plays with and produces for a multidude of artists in the city.

First and foremost, I take the time to learn about about your goals in music. Do you want to learn guitar for the pure enjoyment of playing your favorite songs or do you hope to start writing your own songs in the future? Do you want to play piano so that you can help your daughter with her own piano classes or do you simply want to learn a new skill to expand your horizons? I take all of this and more into consideration when designing your custom lesson plans that will make learning a new instrument FUN and EXCITING!
I've worked with everyone from working proffesionals that want to pick up a new skill, senior citizens with dementia, and 3 year olds who just want to have fun.

Kian is so patient and extremely talented! I tired drum lessons before and gave up every time. But the way kian teaches makes it way more fun and easy!
