About Molly
I am a music theorist and I love teaching. I have trained musicians of all abilities for over 25 years. I can teach you to read music and I can help you pass college/AP music theory. Let me know how I can help.
I am finishing a PhD in music theory at the Eastman School of Music. I perform, conduct, teach, and study music. I have degrees from: Liszt Academy in Hungary, University of Virginia, Michigan State University, University of Central Florida. In addition to music, I worked at Disney World, lived in Hungary, and used to answer mail for President Clinton’s cat, Socks.
I have taught music theory, ear training, and sight-singing at Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, and Michigan State University. I also taught AP music theory in a public high school. I studied intensive solfege at the Kodaly Institute of the Liszt Academy in Hungary.
I always want my music classes to be as enjoyable and invigorating as a first-rate music rehearsal. I won an annual teaching prize and because my class is so full of music-making, experimentation, and fun, the jury couldn't tell if it was a theory class or an ensemble rehearsal.
