Welcome to Allison Jiang's Violin Studio. As a Princeton University student with experience in ensembles like the Princeton University Orchestra and the Opus Chamber Music Society, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for the violin to every lesson.

At Allison Jiang's Violin Studio, my focus is on fostering genuine connections with my students while sharing my deep love for music. With a commitment to flexibility, I offer online lessons, making it easier for you to learn from anywhere at your convenience. Additionally, my teaching services are affordably priced, ensuring that quality music education remains accessible to all.

Drawing from my experience in renowned conservatories such as the Shanghai Conservatory and the Curtis Institute of Music, I employ special skills and methods to enhance your musical journey beyond technical proficiency. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, I am dedicated to guiding you on a fulfilling path of violin exploration.

With 15 years of classical training, I am a violinist in the Princeton University Orchestra. I have recieved honors & awards from institutions such as the International Golden Classical Music Awards, American Protége, the Society of American Musicians, UMass Amherst, Sejong Music Society, and more.

About the lesson

The violin itself is an instrument with a slow learning curve, and can often be frustrating for a beginner at first. I like to make this experience fun and interactive, as we learn the basics of holding the instrument, body posture, and making the first sounds of the violin.

- First, we will learn about the instrument itself: its construction, history, and some of the physics involved that is important to know when playing!

-We will start interacting with the instrument itself, learning bow hold and how to hold the instrument.
