About Judy

I believe my vocal coaching stands out because I individualize lessons for each student's goals and make the lessons fun. I not only focus on vocal skills; increasing range, control and breathing techniques, but also work on performance skills and lyric interpretation.

I love seeing the improvements my students make and love watching them gain confidence along with the the new skills they acquire.

About the lesson

The first time with a new student, I offer a thirty minute consultation free of charge. This is how I get to know about the student's goals and desires regarding vocal lessons. This also gives the student a chance to get to know something about me. If they want to continue and start lessons, then we usually start the first lesson with breathing exercises and a few vocal exercises. I encourage my students to record all the lessons on their phones or Mp3 players so that practicing is much easier. Then we continue subsequent lessons with more exercises and when they have the breathing technique down and have strengthened their vocal skills, we end each lesson, after they've chosen a song to work on, working with a microphone and Karioke. When I work with children, I encourage them to choose appropriate songs.
