About Naomi

I'm Naomi. I'm a crafting coach and DIY content creator. EJ’s Fun Crafting is a place where I’m happy to share my love for crafting. Whether you are a beginning crafter or a skilled maker, you are welcome here. My hope is to inspire, support, and share what I already know and what I continue to learn about the crafting world. I specialize in helping beginner and intermediate users master their Cricut cutting machines. I teach basic all the way up to advanced skills using fun, practical and interactive projects. I've been crafting for over 30 years and I've been actively using my Cricut machine for more than 4 years. I lead a local crafting group. I also have a fun and engaging Facebook group where crafters help each other with a variety of crafts. So let’s craft something fun together!

I've taught in Michael's Stores Community Classrooms as an independent contractor. I love helping crafters find their inner talents and strengths to create amazing things. I am so happy when a timid student takes her Cricut out of the box for the very first time and creates something she never thought she could.

I entered the field of early childhood education as a high school senior. From there, I became a licensced child care director. Soon after, I became a teacher in a charter school and worked to get my Texas Educator Certification. As I advanced into administration, I led many professional development trainings. I joined the Texas Registry as a Registered Trainer. That has helped me learned more about teaching adults.
As I learned more about the crafting world, I seamlessly integrated education and crafting to create my craft coaching services.

I am a certified educator and adult learner training. I've spent over 20 years in these fields.

Additionally, I have taught as a Michael’s Community Classroom instructor and have also had the privilege of being selected as a Cricut demonstrator in the past.

About the lesson

I like to spend at least 15 minutes on a free call or video chat getting to know what kind of help the student is looking for. At the end of our "intro call" I confirm what the student would like and outline the steps I suggest.
I follow up with an email that gives a re-cap of our conversation and includes a quote for services.

I have worked with students spanning a wide range of ages, abilities, and interests. My youngest arts and crafts students have been 6 years old, and my oldest have been in her 70's. I've worked with large projects and with smaller, specific skills.

Find a teacher with whom you feel comfortable. Take your time to interview the person before committing.

I recently started an online event called Craft Around the 'Gram. During this event, I invite 7-8 other crafters to participate in a "craft hop." Each crafter (including myself) goes live to present a 15 minute craft that can be re-made at home. It has been extremely successful. We have received positive feedback from the crafting community.
