You will need a tablet or laptop near your easel to see my step-by-step demo and paint along with me. You can print the photo reference, but it is even better to have a second device so you can view class on one screen, and your reference photo on the other.
As for supplies, many brands of oil and acrylic paint will work so just start with whatever you have. Because I pre-mix my colors before painting though, if you are an acrylic painter, it is helpful to use acrylic retarder medium so that your paints do not do dry out too quickly. (If you are interested in my supply list, let me know.) Please have your paints set up before class starts. I do find it helpful to paint small, 6x8” or 8x10”.
The day before class, (or on the morning of class for Friday’s outdoor class,) I will both text and email you a reference photograph and Zoom link as a reminder. Then the live class will begin at the scheduled time. A couple hours after class, I will send out a Zoom link to a recording of the same class, viewable for 30 days. This is for those who must stream the class later or for students who wish to rewatch it. I also provide a time lapse video, and a photo of my final painting in this email.
The end of class, If you wish, I offer critique of your in-progress painting. After you complete your painting, please photograph it and upload it to the class Facebook group: “Painting Classes with Chris Kolupski,” for group critique. Or if you prefer, text or email it to me and I will provide private feedback.

Details
All painting classes last 2 1/2 hrs. Tuition is usually $110 per calendar month, but due to our busy schedules, I also offer individual classes for $30 per class. I accept payment in three different ways:
