About Stacy

I've spent most of my life teaching elementary age students. Art has been an effective way for me to engage students in learning. Since I'm a veteran teacher, I have the ability to explain things and teach people how to do things with precision. Tell me what you want to paint, and I'll make it happen!

I absolutely love to create art! I love learning new techniques, working with a variety of mediums, and creating useful pieces to display in my house. I also love to meet people that share the same interests as me and collaborate with others to create masterpieces. The look of satisfaction and pride when a student has completed their art makes me so happy!😃

I'm currently on my 26th year of teaching children. I've taught many classes in after school programs and summer camps. I can break down any artistic process so you can learn. I took art lessons for several years from a well know local artist to help me hone my skills. I've also sold many pieces in my community at craft shows and through personal contacts.

About the lesson

I'll ask you what would you like to paint and what you want the finished product to look like. There's so many options... acrylic, carved art, canvas, wood, paper, and more. If a student is interested in something new to me, I'll research it and learn how to do it. I want my students to feel proud of their work and happy about learning a new skill.

It's $25 per lesson per person. I can provide some materials, but my students also need to have their own supplies (brushes, canvas, etc.).
