About Paula
After teaching in the NC Public School System for 18 yrs, I have developed a knack for fostering a strong rapport with students. I am naturally curious, a problem-solver and a creative thinker. Through an empathetic approach to life and the ability to recognize the potential in others, I have found that establishing relationships is the single most important aspect of teaching. A bit wordy, but in a nutshell, I am a people person because I see them clearly.
Working with folks of any age, within any skill set, I have always seen the potential...and it's just a strength of mine to get people to see it in themselves.
I always knew that I love working directly with people.
I'm not a sit-behind-the-desk kind of person.
Being engaged and sharing ideas is what makes me tick.
I have a bachelor's in Elementary Ed (K-6), Middle Grades English-Language Arts (6-9), Secondary/High School English (9-12), and Art (K-12).
