About Glenda

I have been painting for many years. Just recently I decided to offer painting classes to individuals at my home or theirs. I also do paint parties, which is a LOT of fun.

After attended several craft fairs, I started having a lot of people asking me if I taught private lessons, which I had never condidered before, but sounds like something I would love to do. I love painting and feel that is heals a persons heart and soul. I know it did mine!

Feel free to visit my FB page at Gie Heart and Soul Canvas Art and join my group on gie Canvas Art and take a look at my paintings.

I absolutly love teaching at the paint parties, so I can imagine how much fun it would be to teach individuals that are there to really learn how to paint. I don't do it like a school, since I am a self taught painter, but I've been painting using acrylic for many years.

I would love to teach a person that is open to new ideas and new ways to express themselves through painting. I truly believe that art Heals the Heart and Soul, thus the name of my business. If anyone suffers from depression, anxiey or stress, give me a chance to show you how healing this can be fore you!

I started out teaching my grandkids and then after moving to Veedersburg, I started doing paint parties where I teach step by step instructions for up to 50 people at a time. Of course paint parties are NOT like private lessons where I would get a LOT more indepth with the teaching!

I am a self taught artist. I've gone to no schools. Everything I know I taught myself! I've been painting and selling my art for over 30 years!

About the lesson

I teach the basics first. The different brushes and what to do with each one. How to care for their bruses. I teach how to prime and paint on canvas using colors that will blend together. I don't teach like a typical teacher. I don't teach color theory or art history. I teach practical, can use now, types of ways to teach!

If the student is old enough to want to learn the base price for my home lessons will be $25 hr. If I need to travel 15 miles or more the cost will be $35 hour.
