About Alana

While training with me, there is never a question about "why" you perform a certain exercise. I make sure to educate and explain to my clients what each movement does for their bodies. My goal is to teach my clients everything so that they don't need me anymore; apart from accountability.

Outside of the gym I am constantly texting with clients and writing out training programs. Every week I write out a program for each client for his or her individual needs. I focus on arranging exercises in the most effective and efficient way possible---continuously critiquing myself and brushing up on the latest studies to ensure that I create an optimum program.

Whether you are looking to lose fat, build muscle, rehabilitate your metabolism, or maintain a healthier lifestyle, I have all of the tools to help you.

I never thought that I would be a personal trainer. When I decided to start weightlifting to build muscle myself, I became fasicinated with the science of bodybuilding and how my body compostion changed. I began reading endless online studies on weightlifting and nutrition. While doing this, I realized how the media pushes so much misinformation. I felt that I have a lot of knowledge to offer and, with the success of my own muscle-building journey, that I could share it with others. I got my ACE certification and began training clients. There is nothing that has made me happier than aiding others in their fitness journeys and seeing not just their physiques, but lives change for the better.

About the lesson

The first time a new client comes in, I go over any possible injuries or limitations he or she may have, as well as their goals. From there I explain what their training will look like based on how many days per week they come in. In the first training session I go over the basic exercises that they will see recurring in their program.
