Private research

I've been a Certified Fitness Specialist, Personal Trainer, Life Coach and researcher since 2001. I have a program certificate in human diversity studies and I'm currently a student of health psychology. I love helping people who are serious about their goals, and are ready to work towards them.

It is a great feeling, knowing that I've positively impacted the lives of those that I've coached. Over the past 18 years as a fitness and life change professional, it has been amazing to see people achieve things that they'd never perceived possible.

I've known since I was 10 years old, what I wanted to do professionally. I've always been fascinated by the topics of health, psychology and personal growth.

I've been a professional coach since 2001. I was college trained as a Health and Fitness Specialist in 2000/2001; where I studied: anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, personal training, group exercise instruction, and health assessment. Since then, I've maintained certification as a Personal Trainer and kettlebell instructor. As part of my committment to always learn and grow as a professional, I've also completed a college certificate in Human Diversity Studies; where I studied: personality and social psychology, cultural anthropology, philosophy, political science, socio-linguistics, and literature. As a researcher, I'm both self-directed, and directed by the interests of those I coach.

I also coach people who suffer from back pain. I had bacterial spinal meningitis when I was 6 months old, and it has affected my spinal health ever since. As an adult I became so exhausted with trying to receive help from doctors regarding my health, that I used my skills as a fitness specialist and researcher, to figure out how to go from living with a debilitating spine, to now living almost entirely pain free.

The first step is to talk about what the student is looking for in a coach, and what they are looking to achieve. Once we've decided that we'd be a good fit, an intake session is setup. The intake session is individually planned to meet the needs of the new student and differs based on the type of coaching that the student needs.

Over my career, I've worked with over 700 people on an individual bases. Everyone from 12 years old, to 98 years old. I've coached people who are working to regain their physical independance, and the person looking to become active again, as well as nationally competitive athletes. I've worked with people from every income bracket, and nearly every social background. I've coaching people through extreme weight loss, as well as through recovery from eating disorders. I've coached several people who've had neurological trauma, amputation, polio, back pain,

Make sure that the coach is educated in the area of speciality where you need assistance.

I served as the Director of Men's Ministry at New Life church in Renton, WA for a year. It was a great opportunity to help other men grow in their faith, and in their roles as leader of their home. It was a chapter of my life that helpped me grow as a husband, father and coach.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Invest time in considering goals and expectations. Be realistic but allow optimizm. I've seen many people achieve things that were thought to have been impossible, but they first had to set a goal, commit to making it happen, and then stick with it.
