About Gordon
I started photography after getting out of the Marine Corp in 1970. I had always been a strong admirer of Depression-era photographers Gordon Park, Walker Evans, and Dorothea Lange and their impressionable work documenting the effects of the Great Depression. I felt compelled to capture the world as they did - to quote Walker Evans - in a "literate, authoritative, transcendent" manner. I graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston in 1982, with a focus on Photography and Film Making.
I have continued to capture the unknown beauty of nature and the historical sites in Boston, Massachusetts and its surrounding regions so the rich history and culture of the city and the region will not be forgotten.

Introductory classes that cover the basics of camera based photography, i.e. basic camera functions, composition and digital workflow using Lightroom and Photoshop tep for those new to photography.
Intermediate classes that cover the next steps in learning the camera, photo basics and digital manipulation. Perfect for the photographer who already knows aperture, shutter speed, and how to control them on their camera and is familiar with Photoshop. A good fit for the photographer who is ready to learn a bit more control with using the camera and computer to enhance or correct the images.
