About Yanninia
I have been helping student for the last several both online and in person. I have was the go to girl for many of my friends in college, and helped them learn photoshop, camera basics, lighting basic, and even how to work with black and white film.
I specalize in 19th centutry photographic process, and would be honor to introduce you to several of my favorite processes including cyanotypes, gum bichromate and salt printing.
I graduated with my Bachlors Degree from Brooks in 2015 and am about half way to my masters degree. I am just your average giril who loves photography and wants to bring some of the amazing process that exisit in the 19th century.
I started teaching in college, mainly just helping out my friends with various course work and photographic project. I recently started working as an art teacher in 2017, and I just feel in love with the process of teaching.
I love watching my students have those aha moments, and putting the pieces together. It is one of my favorite parts of teaching.
I have a Bacholors Degree in photography, and a Wedding Certificate form Brooks Insitute. I am self taught when it comes to the darkroom, and alternative process. However, I have been working in the darkroom for well over 4 years nows. Additionlly, I am going 12 years as a freelance photographer and artist.

For me I love being able to invite them out for a complementary cup of coffee or tea; as I feel this gives us an opprotunity to discuss their goals, and what excatly they are looking for in a teacher. It just way to get to know each other, and make sure we are a good fit.
I have worked with student of all age groups. Currently I am working as an after school art teacher and the bulk of my students are elementary school age.
However, in college many of my students were in their early 20s and late 40s. I have taught both photography students and camera enthistist alike.
