About Deborah

I am looking for students who would be interested in weekend lessons (Saturday between noon and 4pm). Beginners and Intermediate players of all ages are welcome (yes, adults too!).

I have been playing piano for 20 years and taught for 3 years to help pay my way through high school and college. My experience includes performing for weddings, receptions, churches, and various other events. I have taught all ages from 5 to 45.

Just like everyone else, I work a 9-5, Monday-Friday and hardly have a second to breathe until the weekend. I'm hoping that by teaching lessons again, I will be able to raise a little extra money, reengage with the instrument that I love, as well as have fun.

I provide a low-stress, structured, fun lesson format that has helped dozens of students go from novices to being able to fully read music and understand the fundamentals of playing the piano.

I offer weekly, 30 minute lessons. Lessons will take place at my house (parents are welcome - and encouraged! - to stay for the duration of the lesson) on a Baby Grand piano. I use the Alfred Music book series.

I have two very friendly cats & 1 dog who would love to listen to you learn! They're sick of hearing me practice the same songs over and over again. They can be your supportive audience!
