About Madison

I started tutoring part-time as a sophomore in college and found that I really enjoyed working with people one-on-one to help meet their academic goals.

I just graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a 4.0 GPA in May. During my time in college, I tutored business courses online and in-person, but I really enjoy working with English/writing and ACT prep. Additionally, I've played the piano for over ten years and am excited to begin tutoring musicians or those needing help with music courses.

About the lesson

After a bit of introduction to make the student feel more at ease, I see where they're at with their work/goals/what they've been doing so far and then line out how to go forward. Every student is different, so the process is definitely dependent on what works best for them.

I've worked mainly with college and high school students but am open to working with younger students, as well.

I've found for basically any subject that the best advise is to practice. There's a balance for knowing when you need a break, but progressively working at something is integral to improvement.

I graduated college in May and having all my family come into town to celebrate for the weekend was really special.
