About Celine

I believe music provides a way for adults and children alike to express their emotions. I strive to inspire a passion for music in students and to help them become the best that they can be.

I provide 1-1 piano lessons that focus on correct form, technique, how to perform, theory--but most importantly, building a passion for music and making piano lessons fun! I host yearly recitals that provide students the opportunity to share their passion and gift with others, and build confidence.

I enjoy seeing the benefits of learning music transfer to other areas of life... from academics, social skills, cognitive skills, and more! ...and of course, making the kids happy and sharing my passion for music with them :)

It is also so enjoyable to get to know the students with their amazing amount of energy, intelligence, and sense of humor.

I started teaching when I entered college. I discovered that my love for children drew me into teaching! My first students were from a friend that had to stop teaching in order to pursue further studies.

From then until now, I have been accumulating experience in teaching both younger and older children.

I started playing the piano at the age of 4. I've participated in and won many competitions including the Young Musicians Concerto of CAMPT, United States Open Music Compeition, American Protege International Competition, USIDPC, Lansum International Competition, and the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition. I performed at Carnegie Hall in NY and at the Royal Albert Hall in London for my 1st place win at the American Protege International Concerto Competition and the London Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition.

About the lesson

We start off with a trial lesson, to see where your child is currently at and what the goals are. If your child is completely new to music and/or the piano, we start off with the basics: the music alphabet, correct hand shape, how to sit at the piano, and even some rhythm. Of course, each child is different and the pace will be personalized depending on attention span and interest in music.

I have worked with students as young as 4 to as old as high school seniors.

Celine is very knowledgeable, easy to work with and very patient. My girls have significantly advanced in their piano skills in a relatively short period of time with her instruction. Celine is also very flexible and accommodating. We were able to Zoom through the entire pandemic! Working with Celine has been a huge blessing!
