About Robert

I have 33 years of experience Teaching piano one on one and 5 years of teaching in class environment. I received my M.A. in Piano Pedagogy from East Bay State University, B.A. in Piano Performance from Cal State Hayward and A.A. in Music Arts from Diablo Valley College. I have performed for many years with Big Bands, small combos and solo performances large stages clubs, restaurants, hotels. Participated in many Jazz Festivals from Monterey Jazz Festival to Berkley Jazz Festival, Hayward Jazz Festival and many others. Performed with some greats like Bill Watrouse, Scott Stit, Studied with Mark Levine who wrote the famous Jazz Piano Book and Jazz Book which are used as a standard curriculum at many Universities through out United States. Also Studied with some Classical Heavy weights like Professor Frank Wiens from University of Pacifica. Samel Goodwin who studied with great Clauddio Arrau. Dave Eshelman, Jamie Ambersold and many others. My whole music journey got inspired by Synthesizers in the 80's so I also have extensive experience in Electronic music have produced and published 6 albums on my own worked with a friend George Sakelarious in various projects connected to George Lucas empire and the ILM Industrial Light and Magic and Skywalker Ranch. In few words music is my life and passion and yes I have been around the block. I have a very strong foundation in Piano Sound production Technique, Theory that extends to Jazz and Classical music and again I can help out with Synthesizers, groove boxes, effect processors, Sequencing, Synthesis, and sound creation. Teaching is my passion I am currently working for Pleasanton Music Academy and just got hired to another music school Inspired Music Academy in the same city of Pleasanton.
