About Noah

There are many ways to learn piano. The best way is the one that makes you feel good about what you're playing and how, so that you enjoy the music as much, if not more than, when you are playing it. My techniques range from traditional theory based lessons to ear training and jamming.

The things a student takes from finding a voice through music stay with them forever. Helping people find that voice is a great honor!

After tutoring for a an accredited Music Theory course in high school and teaching a regular guitar class at the public library I worked at, my experience, knowledge base, technique, and process grew exponentially. I taught private guitar, piano, and theory after high school.

Throughout the 7 years I spent studying under piano and theory instructors, I arranged competition recital pieces for my high school band and was active in music theory tutoring in my community.

About the lesson

It's important for me to get to know you and understand why you want to improve you're musical ability.

To begin, I like to ask the following questions:

How much experience do you have playing music?

What kind of music do you want to play?

Who is a musician you admire?

Where do you see your relationship with music in a week? A month? A year?

Then we begin improving your posture. Within five minute you will actually be playing the piano correctly.

My original focus was on early childhood development at which time I worked in the children's department at my county library. I did costumed music events at elementary, primary, and preschools. Then at 16 I participated in a church internship integrating me into many familys' musical education. I began teaching a myriad of students from varying musical backgrounds including established professional artists.

Don't let formality scare you away from what you need from music.

Guide your teacher to that goal.

I kicked off 2020 with a birthday bash at Menglewood Hall in Memphis where I organized multiple artists and supported them on keyboards to give a fun and memorable performance.

Where there is a will there is a way. Any person that comes to me wanting to learn piano will learn how to play after a session. I work with my students to make sure they feel great about their music budget and will help every student I have get a piano in their home to practice on.

My rate for music services is $90/hour

Anything under an hour is $40.
